Practical application of VEE and new formula editor
In our previous news, we already gave you an overview on the development of our calculation module for IDSpecto.DAYOS. Today, we would like to introduce the new plausibility and substitution (VEE) as well as the user-oriented implementation in the user interface.
With regard to VEE, IDSpecto.DAYOS supports all rules and processes stated in VDE-AR-N 4400 Metering Code. The default version of IDSpecto already provides a large number of formulas. However, with our optionally available formula editor you are able to compose and create your own rules thus optimizing your metering processes. Both versions are centrally available; you can allocate either version to any data point and configure the version afterwards. This way, not only general calculation instructions but also your own rules can be reused flexibly as only little additional information is required.
The user therefore benefits from minimum creation effort, easy maintenance and maximum consistency of expressions at the same time when reusing formulas. This generally accelerates creating new rules for plausibility and substitution. Links between expression and data points are displayed in a history including start and end time; thus, you are able to retrace changes clearly and completely.
Practical features support you when creating rules and facilitate the development process, as these features offer, for example, manual execution and testing of rules. Created values are stored and can be displayed as table or chart. Validation of formulas has been improved, too. You are now able to see the exact line in which the error occurs. This saves time and simplifies creation. We also made selecting value identifiers much easier: users may open the complete list or search for specific names or even just parts of these names (eg '1.1' or 'reactive') to filter the results.
